CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

The Foundation has run a Disability Programme in Syria since 1996 and works in close cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and local non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

The programme aims to improve the lives of disabled children by:

  • Building the capacities of people working in the field of early childhood disability
  • Encouraging families and communities to take part in advocacy promoting the rights of their children
  • Raising society's awareness of disability and activating the different parties concerned with early childhood
  • Participating and coordinating with others in order to achieve a more comprehensive and sustainable development.
